The Partial Hospitalization Day Program (PHP) is designed to work with adolescents’ individual, emotional and developmental needs using the Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Treatment Models (CBT and DBT). Your adolescent will receive medication management, individual, group, activity and family therapy in a comfortable and therapeutic setting.

Program Objective

The primary goal of the Partial Hospitalization Program is to increase or maintain the level of patient functioning. The objectives include:

  • the diversion of patients from acute psychiatric inpatient treatment
  • to shorten the length of stay for inpatient treatment
  • crisis stabilization
  • treatment of chronically ill patients currently in a lower level of care who need more intensive service than alternative outpatient treatment can provide
  • to return to the community in a stable mental health condition

The program will function as an alternative to hospitalization and potentially prevent the need for hospitalization.

Population Served

The Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program will offer non-residential services to male and female adolescents, ages 11-17, with an average IQ of 75 or above. This program is offered to a patient population that needs a minimum of 8, but less than 24 hours of care in a given treatment day. The Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program is geared towards a patient population with moderate to severe mental or emotional disorders, as diagnosed using the most current DSM. This program will function on a regularly scheduled basis, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Transportation is expected to be arranged by the family but will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Admission and Assessment Process

Before an adolescent can be admitted to one of our programs, we conduct a no-cost, confidential assessment. We conduct the assessment to discover the youth’s treatment needs and determine the most appropriate program for them.

Visit our admissions page to learn more about the admission and assessment process. There you will find resident criteria, which varies by program, and required documents.

We accept most private insurance and Medicaid.
