Our Community Involvement

Newport News Behavioral Health Center is dedicated not only to helping our patients recover and lead better lives, but we are also actively involved in giving back to our community. Some of the community work we do includes:

  • Attending local community holiday activities
  • College and university tours and on-site visits
  • Food drive donations to local non-profit organizations
  • Participation in Angel Tree gift giving donations to needy families and children
  • Supporting holiday church events to feed the homeless
  • Participation in and support of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) walks, fundraisers and local affiliation
  • Great Expectations Education Program partnership with Thomas Nelson Community College for foster care youth
